Roadmap

What is coming next.

QuikShot is growing from a private iPhone tracker with widgets into a broader Apple-native routine companion. This roadmap is directional and will evolve as the app, platform, and user feedback evolve.

The order below shows recent progress and the current plan for larger user-facing features. It does not include every smaller improvement, and it may change as we learn which workflows matter most in daily use.

    Widgets for the next dose

    Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets make the next dose, due state, and privacy-safe context visible without opening QuikShot. They are designed as calm glanceable surfaces that open the right place when more review is needed.

    More everyday routine tools

    The next wave focuses on making common QuikShot workflows smoother: clearer logging paths, more helpful reminder behavior, tighter review and correction flows, and small setup improvements that reduce friction without making the app feel heavier.

    Faster setup for new routines

    A guided setup flow will start from the user's natural questions: what do I take, when do I take it, do I want reminders, and do I need sites or supplies? Advanced tools like reconstitution and inventory will stay available without making first setup feel like a database form.

    More resilient sync and recovery

    iCloud sync will keep getting clearer, safer, and more responsive across devices. Planned work focuses on stronger data-integrity checks, better recovery paths for risky actions, and clearer status when the local copy and iCloud copy are not yet caught up.

    Guided supply and reconstitution actions

    Supply workflows will become more intentional, including a guided reconstitute action for unopened vials. QuikShot will keep the posture focused on recording what the user did and calculating from entered values, not giving preparation or dosing advice.

    Blend and multi-compound support

    QuikShot will better support real-world blend names while still keeping ingredient-level history, inventory math, and estimated levels separate. The intended experience is one visible routine or dose when the real action is one shot, with details available when the user wants to inspect the components.

    Apple Watch and smarter reminders

    The Apple Watch companion is planned as a fast action surface, not a full protocol editor. It should help users see what is due, log safely when the choice is clear, use complications for next-dose status, and recover from snoozed or overdue reminders without adding noise.

    Apple Health context

    Apple Health integration will be optional and permission-based. The aim is to bring useful health context, such as relevant body metrics or medication data where the platform supports it, into QuikShot without turning the app into a recommendation engine.

    iPad workspace and advanced site readiness

    Full iPad support is planned as a real workspace for planning, review, inventory, levels, and exports, not a stretched iPhone layout. Advanced site rotation can then grow into richer body-map and readiness views that explain why a site is suggested.
